Terms of Service

1 Eligibility

FlashFox is intended for users aged 13 and older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app.

2 Use of the App

FlashFox provides educational quizzes, flashcards, daily fun facts, progress tracking, achievements, and cosmetic reward systems designed for long-term learning progression.

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:

• Interfere with app functionality or infrastructure
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or exploit the app
• Circumvent or manipulate progress systems, streak mechanics, or reward mechanisms
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion.

3 Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4 Progress, Rewards, and Virtual Items

FlashFox includes a progression system featuring badges, streaks, crowns, grades, and cosmetic rewards tied to your account. These items:

• Have no monetary value
• Cannot be transferred between users
• Cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation
• Are tied to your account and will be lost if your account is deleted

Purchased items are digital goods licensed to you, not sold. This licence is personal, non-transferable, and revocable.

We may modify, update, or discontinue cosmetic systems, reward structures, or virtual items at any time. We are not liable for any perceived loss of value resulting from such changes.

5 In-App Purchases

FlashFox is free to use with no ads. Some decks are available as optional one-time purchases, which you own permanently, including any future content added to that deck. We may offer an optional premium subscription in future. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat. We do not store your payment information.

All purchases are subject to the billing terms of the relevant platform provider.

Subscriptions

If we offer subscriptions, they automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the platform provider in accordance with their refund policies. FlashFox Digital Limited does not issue refunds directly.

Restoring Purchases

If you reinstall the app or change devices, you can restore previous purchases using the Restore Purchases option in the app, signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account.

6 Intellectual Property

All content within FlashFox, including text, graphics, design elements, icons, mascots, quiz content, flashcard content, and software, is owned by FlashFox Digital Limited or used under appropriate licence.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app without express written permission from FlashFox Digital Limited.

7 User Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or ideas through the app or by email, you grant FlashFox Digital Limited a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use, adapt, and implement that feedback without restriction or compensation.

8 Disclaimer

FlashFox is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the app at all times.

Educational content within the app is provided for general knowledge and entertainment purposes. While we aim for accuracy, we do not warrant that all content is complete, current, or error-free.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, FlashFox Digital Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for use of the app in the preceding 12 months.

10 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to the app or its users.

You may delete your account at any time using our account deletion request page, the Delete Account option in the app's Settings, or by contacting us at support@flashfox.io.

Upon termination, your licence to use the app ceases immediately. Virtual items, progress, and achievements associated with your account will be permanently deleted.

11 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you via the app or by email where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

The current version will always be available at flashfox.io/terms.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
